MELVINDALE — A drunken man walking on the sidewalk along Schaefer Road near I-75 about noon June 2 prompted a call to Melvindale police officers, who responded with a welfare check.
The man was actually on the Detroit side of the street, so Detroit police officers arrived at the scene and dealt with the man.
