LINCOLN PARK – Two male cousins, ages 13 and 15, were non-fatally struck by a vehicle driven by a 19-year-old Lincoln Park woman at 1:13 p.m. Aug. 6 near Fort Street and Emmons Boulevard.
Witnesses say the boys were crossing Fort Street when oncoming southbound traffic had a green light.
The boys, whose parents asked that their names be withheld, are in stable condition at a local hospital.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The Downriver Crash Response Team is helping the Lincoln Park Police Detective Bureau with the investigation.
Deputy Police Chief Patrick Culter said that out of respect for the family’s wishes, no further information will be released about the young pedestrians.
“The Lincoln Park Police Department extends their thoughts and prayers to the juveniles and their families for a full and speedy recovery,” he said.
