WYANDOTTE — A 34-year-old Westland man was arrested the night of Aug. 17 on Biddle Avenue for his fourth drunken driving offense after a police officer saw him driving 70 mph in a 35-mph zone while swerving between lanes in a vehicle without a license plate.

A traffic stop was initiated, and the man, who showed obvious signs of intoxication, could not provide any paperwork for the vehicle. It was then discovered that his driver’s license had been revoked.

A preliminary breath test was administered, and the man had a blood-alcohol content that was nearly three times the 0.08 limit for legally drunk in Michigan.
