TAYLOR — A 41-year-old Taylor woman reported the morning of Aug. 24 that she was assaulted by her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend, a 39-year-old Belleville woman.
The victim said she was giving driving lessons to the ex-girlfriend’s daughter, and when she said the girl was not ready to practice driving with anyone else yet, the woman became angry and grabbed her by the hair, dragged her outside of the house and threw her to the ground. The victim said the woman then straddled her and pushed her throat with her right forearm, blocking her airway. She said the woman also began to strike her face with a closed fist, and that the rings on her hands damaged her skin.
The victim said she cried, “I can’t breathe,” to which her attacker allegedly replied, “Good, bitch.”
The attack, which allegedly lasted two minutes, was stopped when the victim’s boyfriend went outside and pulled the aggressor off the victim and told her to leave.
The responding police officer saw bruising around the victim’s right eye, and dried blood on her neck just below the center of her throat. The officer also saw scratch marks on the left side of the victim’s neck that were consistent with her description of the assault.
