HEIGHTS – Dearborn Heights Community & Economic Development Director Lielle Saad announced the release of a new public tool designed to help guide the city’s future funding priorities and plans.
Titled the Dearborn Heights Community Survey for the Consolidated Plan, the survey will collect input from residents who would like to contribute opinions regarding the development of the five-year plan that will guide the use of funds for projects and activities offered through the city’s CEDD. It solicits participant opinions on a host of topics, including housing, social services, public safety, neighborhood health, city services and information resources.
All input provided is confidential. The plan directs approximately $1 million in funds annually, which come through the Federal Housing and Urban Development Department.
“This is a great opportunity for residents to help us determine a number of factors our department will take with its future project funding,” Saad said. “We receive funding that drives a wide variety of projects and services – and through this survey, we will get an excellent picture of the types of resources our residents find most valuable, and how to best support them financially.”
