ALLEN PARK — A woman who stole $150 worth of merchandise from Five Below, 3140 Fairlane Drive, said she committed the retail fraud because her boyfriend asked her to commit the crime.
Among the stolen items were a shirt, eight cell phone power banks, three headphones, a cell phone holder and a wig, which she is shown on surveillance camera footage placing into a stolen suitcase.
Police arrested her outside the store near another shop. She said she had already given the stolen merchandise to her boyfriend, whom she would not identify.
She was taken to the police station, where she was booked, cited and released.
