RIVERVIEW — A Dearborn Heights couple was caught on surveillance camera footage the night of Oct. 31 stealing two bundles of firewood from a gas station on Fort Street near Pennsylvania Road.
The man and woman, who drove up in a white Ford Explorer, were identified by the vehicle’s license plate and their images as recorded by store surveillance camera footage.
Police officials used license plate reader cameras to follow the path of the vehicle following the theft.
The suspects reportedly have a history of retail fraud.
