RIVERVIEW — A 57-year-old Wyandotte man who reported his vehicle stolen in September said he found it Oct. 5 in a store parking lot in the 17000 block of Fort Street.
The vehicle showed no signs of forced entry, the ignition was intact and nothing was missing from the vehicle.
Police officers requested the surveillance camera footage from a nearby business and found the image of a woman parking the vehicle and leaving in a newer model black Ford Explorer.
When the man’s girlfriend arrived at the location with the vehicle keys, she was driving a black Ford Explorer and her appearance matched the woman in the surveillance camera footage. The complainant, however, denied that the woman in the video was his girlfriend, and the vehicle was released to him.
