RIVERVIEW – Holiday decorations earned five city houses as well as a Department of Public Works crew honors for their bright and inspiring lighting displays during the Dec. 8 City Council meeting.
Presented by Parks and Recreation Director Todd Dickman and Mayor Andrew Swift, the winners were: Karen Pierson of 18190 Fox Glen Drive; Thomas Smathers of 17046 Valade St.; Brian and Michele Maloney of 19278 Wedgewood Road; David and Tina Doig of 18606 Hamann St.; and Tim and Debbie Fuzi of 14606 Brookline St..
The winners received a Kiwanis wreath and a certificate of recognition.
Dickman said the city has recognized residential holiday lighting decorations for the past 27 years.
Swift also recognized DPW Director Jeff Webb and his employees for the extensive and pleasing holiday lighting display at Young Patriots Park.
“They did an awesome job,” he said.
