MELVINDALE — A girl was shot in the wrist at 8:36 p.m. March 1 at Raupp Apartments, located at Raupp and Oakwood, following a shooting in which two men exited a car long enough to fire into an apartment before driving away.

The girl was treated onsite by paramedics and did not need to be transported to a hospital.

One of the shooters was a man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt. The vehicle was a dark-colored sedan.

Melvindale police detectives and the Downriver Mutual Aid Violent Crimes Task Force processed the scene and recovered spent shell casings.

People in the area are urged to check their surveillance cameras for any images of the suspects and car and forward the information to the Melvindale police detective bureau.
