RIVERVIEW — A man reported March 18 that his debit card account had been fraudulently used to charge more than $5,000 in transactions using a wireless handheld device at multiple locations in southeast Michigan while the victim was still in possession of his actual debit card.
He said he does not use the card for online purchases.
The victim’s bank initiated a claim and closed the account. He was told it would take up to 10 days for the investigation and reimbursement to occur.
