MELVINDALE — A man was banned from Tomboy’s Liquor Store, 18800 Dix Road, and charged with damage to property May 22 after he kicked the store’s glass door after being told to leave for his disruptive behavior.
The man, who left the area on a bicycle, was recorded on surveillance camera footage, which allowed police officers to search the area and detain him.
The door damage was estimated to be $500, and the store owner said he wished to press charges.
The man had active warrants in other jurisdictions. He was told that he was banned from the liquor store, was cited for destruction of property, and was told to schedule a court appearance date.
