SOUTHGATE — An intoxicated man lying on the easement near Renkim Corp., 13333 Allen Road, was reported the afternoon of June 29, with a request for a welfare check.

The man was wearing hospital-style drawstring pants with no shirt, and a half-empty pint of vodka was found tucked inside his waistband.

He was unable to respond verbally to questions, had glossy eyes, smelled of intoxicants and was unable to sit up unaided.

Medical responders recognized him from previous encounters. He was cited for public intoxication and taken to Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital for treatment.
