RIVERVIEW — The rear passenger window of a silver Nissan Sentra was reported broken July 2 in a failed vehicle theft attempt, with the steering column and the ignition also damaged.

The vehicle was parked in an apartment complex lot in the 19600 block of Fort Street.

Nothing appeared to be missing from the interior of the car, and there were no visible fingerprints near the damaged steering column.
