WYANDOTTE — A 23-year-old Monroe man was arrested the evening of Aug. 13 near Eureka Road and 4th Street for operating while intoxicated, child endangerment and possession of narcotics.
The traffic stop was initiated after the man was seen driving erratically. A passenger had an open can of beer at his feet, and another open beer can was seen next to a one-year-old child in the second row in a car seat.
The driver’s blood-alcohol content was one-and-a-half times the 0.08 limit for legally drunk in Michigan.
The driver was also in possession of muscle relaxants and Adderall pills for which he did not have a prescription.
The driver was arrested, the passenger was cited and released, and the child was turned over to their mother, with Child Protective Services notified.
