AAUW to hold annual book sale Oct. 2 to 4 at the Dearborn Ice Skating Center.

DEARBORN – Used books and media will be available Oct. 2 to 4 at the Dearborn Ice Skating Center, 14900 Ford Road, as the American Association of University Women-Dearborn holds its annual sale.

The offerings include adult used books sorted into more than 20 categories, along with a room full of children’s books. Also included in the sale are vinyl records, CDs and DVDs.

Those seeking first pick may pay $15 for early admission from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Oct. 2.

After the early-bird sale, admission is free.

From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 2, paperbacks will be $1 each, with $3 for hardcover books.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 3, book prices drop 50 percent, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 4, the closing day of the sale, $8 will buy a bag full of books.

Vintage books will be priced from $3 to $10 throughout the run of the sale.

Proceeds from the annual sale have helped fund local educational programs for the past 73 years.

Individuals and local businesses can help support the AAUW-Dearborn scholarship fund by sponsoring a sign that will be displayed during the run of the sale. For details, contact [email protected].

The mission of the AAUW is to advance gender equity for women and girls through research, education and advocacy.
