SOUTHGATE — A librarian reported the morning of Aug. 15 that several memorial crosses surrounding the veterans’ memorial outside of the library were pulled out of the ground and burned atop the nearby gas flame torch.
Surveillance camera footage from both city hall and the library was reviewed by the responding police officers.
Camera footage taken at 2:39 a.m. Aug. 14 captured images of a man that police officers were able to identify. He was sent a citation for destruction of property and given a court date.
