Coffee with the Mayor debuts next month

TAYLOR – Coffee with the Mayor, a series of monthly meetings with Mayor Jeffrey Lamarand and constituents, will begin in January. Residents are invited to an informal setting to learn more about the mayor’s plans, ask questions and express concerns. Sessions will take place in the early evening hours of the second Tuesday of each month at coffeehouses, coney islands and other restaurants throughout the city. Flu vaccines from Dearborn Health Department not affected by manufacturer’s recall

DEARBORN – The H1N1 flu vaccine administered by the city’s Health Department is not affected by the recent voluntary recall, city officials said. The department did not receive any vaccines from the batches being voluntarily recalled by the manufacturer. The department continues to offer free H1N1 vaccinations for any Dearborn resident, regardless of age or health requirements. Inaugural ceremony for elected officials Dec. 30

DEARBORN – The city will host an inaugural ceremony for city officials elected to serve 2010 to 2013 at 8 p.m. Wednesday inside the Michael A. HFCC administrators donate to charities

The Henry Ford Community College Administrators’ Association Local 71 donated more than $3,500 this holiday season to three charities: Dearborn Animal Shelter, St. Leo’s Soup Kitchen and Disabled American Veterans.
