Adray Golf Tournament funds HFCC Community Scholarships for Dearborn/Dearborn Hts residents
Ninety-seven recent high school graduates have been awarded the Henry Ford Community College Community Scholarship, including 50 from three Dearborn high schools. Each recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship to HFCC. The $97,000 given to Community Scholarship recipients was raised by the annual Adray Golf for Scholarships Tournament, held each May at the Dearborn Country Club. Howe-Peterson offers family support groups in April
DEARBORN — Howe-Peterson Funeral Home will offer free, nondenominational grief support groups in April. All groups meet at Hope Lutheran Church, 3640 Madison at Carlysle in Dearborn. Helping Hands is for children ages 5 to 12 who have lost a loved one. Participants can communicate feelings and learn coping skills through creation of artwork, storytelling and group exercises. RIVERVIEW — Police believe two burglaries that occurred Feb. 28 are related. One happened in the 12000 block of Johanna Court; the other was in the 18000 block of Matthews. The house on Matthews is adjacent to the north side of the house on Johanna Court. The burglary on Johanna Court was discovered by the 52-year-old owner at 11:45 p.m. Feb. 28.
