Muscle car stolen

By SUE SUCHYTA Sunday Times Newspapers RIVERVIEW — A purple 2019 Dodge Charger was stolen at 3:28 a.m. July 26 from the 1700 block of Quarry Street, which the vehicle owner reported when she heard the loud engine noise as it was driven away. The victim, a 50-year-old Riverview woman, said no one else had permission to drive her vehicle, and she had both sets of keys in her possession. Sleepy, drunken driver arrested

By SUE SUCHYTA Sunday Times Newspapers RIVERVIEW — A 43-year-old Riverview woman was arrested for operating under the influence of liquor after a witness reported her impaired driving the afternoon of July 26, following which police officers found her passed out behind the wheel of her car in her driveway upon arriving home.  The woman, who could not tell officers where she been driving earlier, had slurred speech and was unsteady on her feet. By SUE SUCHYTA Sunday Times Newspapers MELVINDALE — Four cases of Monster energy drink, valued at $106, and $30 worth of men’s clothes were stolen the night of Aug. 4 from Dollar General, 3580 Oakwood Blvd.  An employee said the thief was a black male, 6 feet 5 inches tall, wearing a white shirt, black pants, a baseball cap and black shoes, who drove away in a red Mercury Sable. Ex-con threatens relative

White work van stolen

By SUE SUCHYTA Sunday Times Newspapers MELVINDALE — A white 2007 Ford Econoline van was reported stolen the morning of July 31 from the 17100 block of Raupp Road.  The reporting party said he had borrowed the van from his cousin the night before, and both sets of ignition keys were still in their possession.
