The Lady Falcons have bolstered their record to 16-2 after winning a 56-36 Catholic League A-B semifinal game against Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard last Wednesday. Pioneer cagers look to sweep city prep rivals
Dearborn High School head coach Kevin Barkoff hopes to sweep city rivals Edsel Ford and Fordson. The Pioneers, under head coach Kevin Barkoff, just might make a clean sweep of their city rivals. By Daniel Gretzner “I’m very excited to be back at Divine Child.” Those were the words of Steve Robb, the new football head coach of the Dearborn parochial high school. On Jan. 24, Robb was named as the incoming mentor in charge of a declining football program that was once the powerhouse of the Detroit Catholic League. Divine Child basketball head coach Andy Dold has his Falcon cagers flying high this winter. After playing their first eight games of the season, DC owns a 7-1 overall record. Two senior guards have been providing most of the scoring fire power. Steven Kushner and Randy Kuzdak are taking turns burning up the twine for the parochial home towners. UM-D hockey team making noise; Wolves play Indiana U in away games

The Wolves have played fairly well thus far as they move into the latter part of their regular season schedule. As of last week, UM-D icers are owners of a respectable 10-12 overall record. This trio includes Dan Enos (Edsel Ford) in football at Central Michigan University, Tom Anastos (Fordson) at Michigan State University and Pat Schurmur (Divine Child) of the Cleveland Browns.
