Fall in winter: Restaurant to open soon after ceiling collapse

By BROOKE STEVENSON Sunday Times Newspapers   ALLEN PARK — Lunch was served with an unexpected dose of excitement when the ceiling of a local restaurant collapsed Monday afternoon.   The plaster drop ceiling of Tim’s Coney Island, 16015 Southfield, began to crack and fall during a packed lunchtime rush.   Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputy Larry Jones and Cpt. American Idol finalists perform on Spring Break in Dearborn

City youth group sponsors Pistons outing

TAYLOR — Members of Mayor Cameron Priebe’s Youth Advisory Council are inviting students in grades seven through 12 to attend a Detroit Pistons game on March 29 at the Palace of Auburn Hills.   Tickets must be purchased by March 20 at the Parks and Recreation Office, 22805 Goddard Road. Egg hunt registration starts tomorrow

TAYLOR — Easter egg hunts for resident children ages 3 to 8 are scheduled for April 4, starting at the Heritage Park Activity Building.   All participants must register in advance, beginning tomorrow at the Parks and Recreation Office, 22805 Goddard Road. College appoints two new directors to foundation board

DEARBORN — Two new directors recently were appointed to the HFCC Foundation Board of Directors.    Dearborn Heights resident Nabil H. Fakih and Detroit resident James P.
