Business with check-cashing service reports four cases of fraud

Jefferson Avenue, reported March 10 that the store, which offers check cashing services, had cashed four fraudulent checks. The earliest, which occurred July 13, 2022, was for a $162 State of Michigan income tax refund check which the financial institution told the store had already been cashed. Wayne County Commission seeks halt to toxic waste being transported to county

Identity thieves run up utility bills

Red light runner arrested for outstanding warrants

By SUE SUCHYTA Sunday Times Newspapers RIVERVIEW — A 43-year-old Trenton woman who ran a red light on southbound Fort Street near Williamsburg Drive the night of Feb. 28 was taken into custody when a traffic stop revealed that she had two valid arrest warrants. The woman, who revved the engine of her red Ford Escort to accelerate and run the red light, had a suspended license, no proof of insurance and had warrants out of Lincoln Park and Trenton. Wayne County Commission passes resolution recognizing Ramadan
