By DENETTE WATSON Times-Herald Newspapers Livonia Public Schools opens its International Baccalaureate Diploma Program to out-of-district students from Wayne County for the 2013-14 school year. The program currently has 17 seats available for students outside of the district. Five seats are open to students entering ninth grade; five seats are open to students entering 10th grade and seven seats are open to students entering 11th grade. CSCU begins third annual Operation Backpack drive
LIVONIA – Co-op Services Credit Union will conduct its third annual backpack drive through Aug. 12 to help local students prepare for the upcoming school year. New backpacks, folders, notebooks, pens, scissors, pencils and other supplies will be collected at donation boxes in the lobbies of the credit union’s eight branch offices located throughout metropolitan Detroit.
