MELVINDALE – Joseph R. Falcioni, retired city police lieutenant, passed away at his home Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009. He was 78. He began his career as a patrolman in 1955 and retired as a lieutenant in 1983. During his retirement Mr. Falcioni was involved actively in the community and served on several commissions, including the Public Safety Commission, which oversees the Police and Fire departments.
