The Cougars captured the Livonia Ladywood regional crown Saturday by posting shutouts over Detroit Renaissance (1-0) and Ferndale (3-0). By Daniel Gretzner Eric Haase, who has had a sensational season at Dearborn Divine Child, was selected in the seventh round of the Major League Baseball draft last week. The DC catcher has signed with Ohio State on a athletic scholarship, giving him a possibility of playing college ball or heading for the professional ranks. Haase was one of nine seniors on the Falcon varsity roster and can also play third base and pitch.
