DEARBORN – The Dearborn Travel Club will meet at 7 p.m. March 12 in the Henry Ford Centennial Library auditorium, 16301 Michigan Ave.
The meeting will feature a preview of upcoming trips to be offered to senior residents through the Travel Club (for people ages 50 and older), which is celebrating its 17th year of operation.
U.S. Postal Service representatives also will be on hand to offer information about how to avoid potential mail fraud scams and other mail-related problems, which some travelers face after returning from extended travel.
Additionally, Postal Service representatives will offer information and application forms for official “passport cards.” The wallet-sized card is convenient and less expensive than a passport, and is good for travel to Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda. The passport card cannot be used for air travel outside North America.
The Travel Club is a program of the Senior Services Division of the Recreation Department, offering a variety of reasonably priced travel opportunities for residents ages 50 and older to enjoy.
