Tijuana’s is tops

February 24, 2009 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

The Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce recently named Tijuana’s Mexican Kitchen, 1679 Dix, as its Business of the Month. The restaurant was chosen by popular vote through [email protected].

Owner Marisa Garcia started by catering from her home in 1991 and opened her first full-service kitchen in Detroit in 1995. The business moved to its Lincoln Park location in 2003.

Garcia, along with her husband, Steve Guzina, and family serve up Mexican dishes that she created over time with her mother. The family restaurant specializes in dine-in, carryout and catering; cocktails also are available.
