HEIGHTS — Seniors age 50 and older from throughout Wayne County are invited to take part in the golf tournament portion of the county’s fifth annual Senior Olympics Aug. 19 at Warren Valley Golf Course.
Men and women are invited and can sign up individually or with their own foursome in one of four age groups: 50 to 60, 60 to 70, 70 to 80 and over 80.
Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano sponsors the event. The cost is $15 with registration and includes coffee and doughnuts, a round of nine holes, a golf cart, lunch, posting of the scores and winners in each of the male and female categories. Winners will be awarded a gold, silver or bronze medal at a later scheduled banquet.
Registration forms are available at the Berwyn Senior Center 26155 Richardson, near Warren and Beech Daly roads; the submission deadline is July 27.
