DEARBORN – The next set of free outdoor music concerts will take place Thursday and Aug. 12 through 14.
Horizon will perform 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at The Ritz-Carlton, as part of the “Motown in the Courtyard” concert series and The Sun Messengers will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Dearborn Hills Golf Course, as part of the Music Under The Stars concert series.
Jessie Coleman will perform 7 to 9 p.m. Aug. 12 in City Hall Park, as part of the “Jazz on the Ave” concert series.
Mel Ball and Colours will perform 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 13 at The Ritz-Carlton, as part of the “Motown in the Courtyard” concert series and Steve King & Dittilies will perform at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 13, at Levagood Park’s Dunworth Pool, as part of the Music Under The Stars concert series.
Merge, with hits from the 1950s to contemporary, will perform 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 14 at Muirhead Plaza, located next to Bryant Branch Library, as part of the concert series sponsored by the West Dearborn Downtown Development Authority.
“Motown in the Courtyard” is offered at The Ritz-Carlton from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday evenings through Sept. 17, excluding Sept. 3. Entrance and parking are free; no reservations are required.
Future concerts in the series are – The Kimmie Horn Show Aug. 20, KGB Aug. 27, Desire Sept. 10 and The Kimmie Horn Show Sept. 17.
The WDDDA-sponsored concerts are offered on select Friday evenings at Muirhead Plaza, located next to Bryant Branch Library.
Future concerts in the series are – The Cleary Quartet, 7 to 9:30 p.m. Aug. 21; Thornetta Davis, 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 28.
Sponsored by the East Dearborn Downtown Development Authority and Smooth Jazz V 98.7, “Jazz on the Ave” concerts take place in City Hall Park 7 to 9 p.m. on select Wednesday evenings.
Future concerts in the series are – Penny Wells Aug. 19 and The Brothers Groove Aug. 26.
Music Under The Stars concerts are offered at 7:30 p.m. on select Thursday evenings at venues across town.
Future concerts in the series are – Henry Ford Community College Jazz Band Aug. 20 at Schemansky Park, and Fifty Amp Fuse Aug. 27 at Dearborn Hills Golf Course.
