Roar on the River fills Elizabeth Park

Crowds line the riverwalk in Elizabeth Park to watch the outboard powerboat racing for the National City Roar on the River, which began July 24 with A Taste of Trenton and featured concerts, a classic car show and a salute to military personnel before the festivities ended last Sunday. Competition in last weekend’s National City Roar on the River in Trenton was heated. The section of the Detroit River near Elizabeth Park was the site of Union Internationale Motonautique-sanctioned American Power Boat Association World Championships in two main racing classes: SST 120 (F2) and SST 45 (F3).
