Crowds line the riverwalk in Elizabeth Park to watch the outboard powerboat racing for the National City Roar on the River, which began July 24 with A Taste of Trenton and featured concerts, a classic car show and a salute to military personnel before the festivities ended last Sunday. The section of the Detroit River near Elizabeth Park was the site of Union Internationale Motonautique-sanctioned American Power Boat Association World Championships in two main racing classes: SST 120 (F2) and SST 45 (F3).
