PET OF THE WEEK

Benny likes to snuggle
Benny likes to snuggle
Benny Bagpipes, a very loving 7-year-old domestic shorthair cat, has been at the Wyandotte Animal Pound since early June. He has been overlooked because he’s so quiet. Volunteers say he has a sweet personality and likes to snuggle. Don’t be put off by his age; he easily has another decade of life in him – he’s not even middle age. The adoption fee for cats is $60 cash and includes spaying or neutering, the first distemper vaccine, a combo test and a rabies vaccine if the animal is old enough. Cat adopters should bring a carrier. Cardboard box carriers can be purchased from the shelter for $5. The pound is at 1170 Grove, between 11th and 13th streets. Adoption hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. For more information call (734) 324-4445 or go to www.petfinder.com/shelters/MI363.html
