DEARBORN, Mich. – John Keuten, president and CEO of Oakwood Enterprises, will be the keynote speaker at the Dearborn Chamber of Commerce’s Economic Outlook Breakfast, Tuesday, September 15, 7:30 a.m. at the Dearborn Inn. This event is sponsored by Oakwood Healthcare System.
Keuten directs the for-profit corporation for health-related ventures under the umbrella of Oakwood Healthcare, Inc., which operates four hospitals and multiple post-acute and outpatient sites in 35 southeast Michigan communities.
Keuten will highlight the new development–called the Dearborn Town Center–located at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Schaefer in East Dearborn on the site of the former Montgomery Wards. The building spans a 5-acre site with nearly 150,000 square feet of premier medical office, retail development and 100 senior independent living residences.
“We are anxious to learn about the exciting details of this major contribution to the Dearborn area and the region,” said Chamber President Jennifer Knott Giering. “We are confident that this will serve as an anchor for future growth in this area.”
Prior to joining Oakwood Enterprises in 2007, Keuten was CFO for Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc and has held senior financial positions at Providence Hospital, Mount Clemens General and Henry Ford Health System.
The Chamber’s Economic Outlook Breakfast in September is the third of four such events planned for the year. Individual tickets as well as corporate tables are available for purchase at www.dearbornchamber.org.
The Dearborn Chamber of Commerce works to promote the best interests of nearly 600 member businesses by: helping them connect with prospective customers, promote products and services, succeed in businesses through increasing sales and saving money and to become leaders in the Dearborn community.
