Wayne County officials have launched the new Homeland Securities Community Emergency Reference Guide.
The program, available at www.waynecounty.com, is organized in several categories offering parents and families information about all types of emergency situation.
It covers what to do when someone is choking or needs cardiopulmonary resuscitation; how to handle a heart attack or a drug overdose; how to protect your family in a tornado; or what to do if there is a chemical emergency and when to call 911.
“We care about your well-being,” County Executive Robert Ficano said. “We know that keeping your family safe and secure is a priority for you and that is why it is a priority for us.”
Officials say the program can be printed and kept where it is easily accessible.
