DEARBORN−Mark Lezotte, corporate director of legal affairs for Oakwood Healthcare Inc., has been selected for the 2009 Michigan Super Lawyers publication. Lezotte is one of only 31 health care lawyers named.

This is the second consecutive year he has been selected, and he is once again the only in-house health care counsel chosen. The overall list represents the top 5 percent of lawyers in Michigan, who are identified through a rigorous peer review process.

Lezotte, a Detroit resident, is a graduate of the University of Michigan, having received his juris doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School and his bachelor of business administration from the U-M School of Business. He has been with OHI since 1996, specializing in corporate, health care, tax and exempt organization matters.

Lezotte is a frequent speaker on health law-related topics and is active in numerous professional organizations, including the American Health Lawyers Association, the Association of Corporate Counsel and the State and Federal Bar Associations. He has served in leadership roles in the Federal Bar Association’s Health Law Committee, the State Bar Business Law Section and the State Bar Nonprofit Corporations Committee, and as an adjunct professor at the University of Detroit Mercy.
