City, supporters celebrate grand opening of Dearborn Welcome Center, chamber relocation

Mayor John O’Reilly Jr. (center, with scissors) cut the ribbon to the new Dearborn Welcome Center Friday, joined by the Dearborn Chamber of Commerce and other partners who provided funding and support for the creation of the facility inside Bryant Library, 22100 Michigan Ave. The chamber also marked the grand opening of its new offices at the same location. Also attending the ceremony were Chamber President Jennifer Giering (with scissors) and Chamber Chairman of the Board Marty Heger (front row, sixth from left). Also in the photo are (from left): Mike Kirk, chamber member and architect responsible for the Welcome Center project; City Councilman George Darany; Bill White, chairman of the West Dearborn Downtown Development Authority; City Councilman Mark Shooshanian; County Commissioner Gary Woronchak; County Executive Robert Ficano; Library Commission Chairman Marcel Pultorak; Renee Aloe, director of membership services for the chamber; U.S. Rep.
