The Dearborn Youth Symphony will present its second concert of the 2009-10 season at 4 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Ave.

The concert includes performances by the Combined Flute Choirs, and the Concert Strings and Symphony Orchestra. The Symphony Orchestra under the artistic direction of Tim Cibor will be performing Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 5.”

Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children and seniors, and are available at the Ford Center box office or by calling (313) 943-2354. Visa, MasterCard and American Express are accepted.

Box office hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The box office also is open one hour before show time.

The DYS was formed in 1975 to provide young musicians with symphonic ensemble experience and to foster interest in instrumental music. The DYS continues to nurture and challenge elementary- through high school-age students with their three orchestras, chamber groups and flute choir.
