Pascael Succurro on Friday shovels the snow at his grandmother’s house in the 5000 block of Kendal in Dearborn, during the latest in a recent string of snow showers. After starting the winter off relatively dry, more than 20 inches of the white stuff through the last three weeks has the region on pace to exceed the average annual snowfall accumulation total of 41 inches, according to National Weather Service data.
