DEARBORN — Oakwood Healthcare System recently expanded its imaging services with the opening of the new Oakwood Imaging Center-West.
A Feb. 11 open house featured a special ribbon-cutting ceremony with Joseph Diederich, chief operating officer of Oakwood Healthcare Inc. Dearborn Mayor John O’Reilly Jr. and City Council members also were in attendance.
The imaging center, at 25045 Ford Road, offers outpatient services in ultrasound, X-ray, fluoroscopy and the latest in computed tomography technology. The center also includes Michigan’s first and most powerful 160-slice CT scanner.
Oakwood officials say the scanner provides superior image clarity, maximizes diagnostic capabilities and provides a quicker patient experience, all while delivering one-third of the average CT radiation dose.
