Riley Clark (right) a 2-year-old from Dearborn, finds the prize inside as jelly beans burst forth from their shell. His 6-year-old brother Jamie (left) seems unperturbed by the candy chaos.

Children enjoyed beautiful weather April 3 for Sacred Heart’s annual Easter egg candy hunt on the church grounds west of Military and north of Michigan Avenue in Dearborn. After the hunt, families gathered in the school gym for a prize raffle. Youth Ministry Director Julie Wieleba-Milkie said last year’s weather was freezing, so this year’s warm weather attracted many more preschoolers. Overall attendance was up by about 100 children.
