LINCOLN PARK — A high-quality, low-cost pet wellness and vaccination clinic will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the city’s band shell at Fort Street and London.
City animal control officials are hosting the event, which features a walk-in clinic with no appointments needed. Offerings will include discounted pricing for heartworm testing, vaccines and flea prevention. All animals will be checked by Dr. John Hermann.
The clinic is designed to promote vaccination of cats and dogs belonging to Lincoln Park and Allen Park residents, but others are welcome to attend.
During clinic hours, Lincoln Park dog licenses will be available for $8, $6 for pets of senior citizens age 62 and older. The price goes up to $14 after June 1.
A Chinese auction featuring pet items will be held as part of the event to raise money for the Lincoln Park Exchange Club for projects like the Goodfellows and Lincoln Park High School Senior Scholarships.
