Ice Box Sports Center in Brownstown Township again will be a center of activity this summer as it serves as the home for an innovative regional Summer Sports Camp for children ages 6 through 12.
Registration is available online; space in the program is limited to 62 children.
It features a regular daily schedule of sports and a range of other activities — plus nutritional meals — all in a secure setting, said Penny Bayer, director of the After School Learning Center at the Ice Box, a state-licensed child care operation.
The program runs from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Weekly cost is $150 per child. Registration is also available on a daily basis for $30 a day. It begins June 21 and runs through Aug. 20.
Parents also may register by going on the Ice Box Web site at www.iceboxsports.com and following the links available under the “Day Care” tab, or by calling Bayer at (734) 676-5500, ext. 222.
The Ice Box is at 21902 Telegraph Road, just north of West Road.
