September 11, 2010 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

LINCOLN PARK — Lafayette Elementary School, 1350 Lafayette, will hold its annual Kickoff Carnival from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday for members of the school community.

Attractions will include inflatable amusements, food and carnival games, such as ring toss, bowling, and diving for ducks.

An Xbox 360 video game system and boys and girls bicycles will be raffled off, with proceeds going to support school activities and students. The event also will feature a small petting zoo and pony rides.

“Our Parent-Teacher Association has been a huge part of putting this together,” Principal Craig Stanczyk said. “I urge everyone to come out and support our new PTA panel.”

Call (313) 389-0224 for more information.
