Riverview Community High School’s 50th homecoming court smiles for posterity Friday. They will vie for the homecoming king and queen titles during the Pirates’ upcoming football game against Monroe Jefferson at 7 p.m. Friday. Court members include seniors Ali Saad (back row, left) , Bianca Korkis, Paige Sant’Angelo, Mario Barragan, Chris Banach, Felicia Kollias, Paige Grinstead and Nick Thornton. The underclassmen court includes freshmen Kendall Grzywa (front row, left) , Michael Allsbrooks, sophomores Jessica Sutherland, Luke Everingham and juniors Corey Turner and Natalia Cappella. Former homecoming kings and queens will also be at the game to honor the 50th anniversary. The homecoming parade begins at 5 p.m. and ends at the football field behind the high school, 12431 Longsdorf, before the “maroon out” game. Court members from 1960 to 1985 will be honored after the first quarter, and court members from 1986 to 2008 will be honored after the third quarter. The 2010 court will be announced at halftime (about 7:45 p.m.), and a reception will take place in the cafeteria for current and former courts following the final introduction after the third quarter.
