Situated on 50 wooded acres in Livonia, Madonna is one of Michigan’s most affordable private universities. Madonna University is located at 36600 Schoolcraft Road Livonia. Contact information (800) 852-4951.

For nearly 75 years Madonna University has been delivering a quality liberal arts education combined with career preparation and service learning.

Situated on 50 wooded acres in Livonia, Madonna is one of Michigan’s most affordable private universities. Students can choose from more than 75 undergraduate and 32 graduate programs, including the new Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. Certificate programs in business, addiction studies, nursing, criminal justice education and more are available too.

The new Franciscan Center built to accommodate the expansion of Madonna’s science and media programs, demonstrates the university’s commitment to an eco-friendly campus. The sustainable structure recently was awarded Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. The LEED certification was verified by the Green Building Certification Institute.

“We are very pleased to be recognized with Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council,” Madonna President Sister Rose Marie Kujawa said. “With the Franciscan Center, we not only wanted to build a state-of-the-art facility for our students, but also to do so in a way that was friendly to our environment and that testified to our seriousness of purpose regarding the Franciscan value of reverence for creation.”

The Franciscan Center, the first LEED-certified building in Livonia, includes an array of environmentally-friendly and energy-efficient features, such as motion-detecting lights and natural lighting, waterless urinals and low-flush toilets, recycled and environmentally-friendly materials, and storm water diversion.

Housed in the Franciscan Center are state-of-the-art science laboratories, where students and faculty can conduct research and hands-on experiments. The professional television studio and all-digital editing suites are a real plus for students in Madonna’s popular broadcast and cinema arts program. All Madonna students enjoy the beautiful gathering area, Cardinals Square and the eatery.

Close to home and work, Madonna University offers flexible scheduling for working adults, and the small class sizes afford students personal attention from professors who are dedicated to helping students succeed.
