Following nearly 25 years in the exhibit industry, lifelong Dearborn resident Don Mascot has utilized his skills in construction, sales and operations management to establish Spectrum Home Services of Metro Detroit and open a newly renovated 4,200 facility at 20962 Van Born Road in Dearborn Heights.

Spectrum specializes in providing services to seniors and caregivers, including homemaking services, home modifications and running errands. They also offer a full array of handyman, cleaning and yard care services for busy homeowners, families, and small businesses.

“For seniors and people with special needs who want to stay in their own homes and require extra assistance, we can help with everything from home repairs to daily living needs,” said Mascot. “All of our employees are licensed, bonded and insured.”

Mascot noted that his mother Sharon manages the day to day operations and schedules appointments. “She’s the friendly voice at the end of the phone,” added Mascot, who has approximately five part-time and full-time employees.

As president of the Dearborn High School Boosters Club and member of both the Dearborn and Dearborn Heights Chambers of Commerce, Mascot is a strong supporter of the local community.

The community is invited to attend a ribbon cutting and open house from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2010, to learn about the wide variety of services that Spectrum Home Services offers. Mayor Dan Paletko of Dearborn Heights is scheduled to cut the ribbon for Spectrum’s newly renovated building at the October 20th event. Free valet parking and light refreshments will be provided during the open house. Guests are encouraged to make advance reservations by calling 313-730-1330 or by email to [email protected] Staff of Spectrum Home Services, www.spectrumhomeservices.com, will be on hand to answer questions about the wide variety of services the company provides.
