DEARBORN — Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in two recent armed robberies.

The robberies happened three weeks apart at Check ‘n Go,15241 Michigan Ave., about a block east of Greenfield Road. The first was on Sept. 21; the most recent happened Thursday. In both incidents the suspect implied he had a gun and escaped on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police describe him as a fair-skinned, medium-built white man in his late 20s or early 30s with medium-length reddish hair parted to the side. He is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds.

At the time of the robberies he was wearing a black leather bomber jacket, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and had several “sores” on his face.

Anyone with information relating to the robber’s whereabouts or identity can call the Dearborn police tip line at (313) 943-3012.

“We are committed to capturing and prosecuting violent offenders such as this, and we need the public’s assistance in identifying this individual before he can victimize someone else,” Chief Ronald Haddad said in a statement.
