IRVING, Texas — SER-Jobs for Progress National Inc. recently named Dearborn resident Monica Martinez to its board of directors.

She is vice president, national Hispanic business affairs for Comerica Bank.

SER is a national network of employment and training organizations that formulates and advocates initiatives that result in the increased development and utilization of America’s human resources, with special emphasis on the needs of Hispanics. Martinez directs Comerica’s Hispanic business and community outreach in the bank’s primary markets in Michigan, Texas, California, Arizona and Florida.

“We look forward to the continued support of our board and welcome the contributions of the newly elected board members,” said Ignacio Salazar, the network’s president and chief executive office.
