Free tax preparation help available to city residents

DEARBORN – Free help from volunteers in preparing tax forms is available for residents with low to moderate incomes, with special attention for those ages 60 and older. The service is offered by the city’s Senior Services Division.

Assistance is available in completing the following 2010 tax forms: Michigan Home Heating Credit, Michigan Homestead Property Tax Credit, State Income Tax and Federal Income Tax.

Assistance will be provided at the following locations, dates and times:

• Dearborn Senior Center (inside the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Ave.), 10 a.m., Tuesdays through Fridays, through April 15.

• Kennedy Plaza (5111 Bingham), 10 a.m. Feb. 28, March 7 and March 21.

• Townsend Towers (7000 Freda, at Blesser), 10 a.m., April 4.
