Sushi is a small female Siamese who was turned in when her owners lost their home and couldn’t afford her care any longer. She is missing most of her fur due to a battle with fleas but is recovering.
Sonny is a large adult male American shorthair who was abandoned when his owners moved. He and another cat were left alone for two days with no food or heat but are doing better now and looking for a permanent home.

Monty is a young male Labrador retriever/Staffordshire terrier mix who was brought to the pound after his owner gave him to a relative whose adult dog picked on him. He’s on the thin side as he prefers attention from people to food.
Dog adoption fees are $85 and cat adoption fees are $60 (both in cash). Fees include spaying or neutering, first distemper vaccine and a rabies vaccine if the animal is old enough. The Wyandotte Animal Pound is at 1170 Grove, west of 11th Street. Adoption hours are 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.
